Tiger Swallowtails
Ok, I have to come clean, I was a butterfly collector when I was a kid and my favorite was the Tiger Swallowtail. One of my fondest and earliest memories was when I had a butterfly net and was standing beneath a large Mimosa tree at my Grandparents house in Fairbanks, Louisiana. A Tiger Swallowtail landed just out of my reach and I ran into the house screaming for my Grandmother Edna to help me catch the Swallowtail. She came running out in her famous red jumpsuit, grabbed my net and proceeded to capture the elusive Tiger Swallowtail for me. I was in heaven. So thats why I have an obsession for these butterflies and continue to bore everyone with pics of them. Also, what makes this picture so special.... you guessed it, there are actually three of these beauties in one photo. A rare sight indeed.
